If you already
own a property with a render-based exterior, i.e. pebble-dash, spar-dash, Tyrolean, then the
problems associated with these finishes become quite visible, cracks - both large and small,
repairs and making good, unsightly areas of smooth amongst the pebbles where the weather has
eroded the surface. All these problems can be repaired and never seen again under our
system!
Even brickwork
properties can pose problems - the weather can erode the pointing between the bricks and
make the bricks themselves too porous, thus leading to water penetration of the exterior
walls. This can soon lead to damp patches on internal walls.
Frost damage
of bricks can also occur (also known as "spalling"), the faces of the brick
disintegrates and falls away - leaving an unsightly and even more porous surface.
The remedy to
all these problems and many more is at hand - our unique undercoating system which contains
fibre-glass and powerful resins will repair and reface the entire exterior of your property,
without the usual requirement of having to call in other trades to re-point or re-render the
outside before decoration can begin.
Once the
surface is repaired and re-levelled all round then the top coat of heavy duty textured
coating is then ready to be applied. It's very thickness means that application can only be
achieved by first trowelling the coating onto the surface then, using a textured roller to
raise the coating and then stroke the stipple downwards -thus leaving the ideal path for
which rain and dirt will follow - keeping your walls clean and fresh looking.
Other areas
that will normally be included in the process of work will be stonework in the form of
window cills, the lintels above windows (if originally built as feature stone), stone
mouldings around the backs of the property and the plinth, the lower section of the wall
found below DPC level.
The heavy duty
textured coating comes in 12 colours plus white. There are the usual creams and magnolias
which will blend in with almost any background but also a variety of "classic"
colours such as brick red and platinum grey, which will enhance many a town house with
character features.
All work is
undertaken by professional tradesmen with many years experience of working on properties of
